The bitch

I wanna be the bitch that forgots your birthday
the bitch that says 'it's over'
I can 't do anything and repeats it every year.
The bitch that gets the last word in a silent treatment
the bitch that says no to you to be with her friends
the bitch that wouldn't put her in your place
but has no problem putting you in your rightful place..
go fuck yourself and get yourself checked
come crawling back to me and
find your slot in my ever busy timetable
the bitch who never has to be patient to you
I wanna be that bitch that never says sorry
the bitch that says go fuck yourself
the bitch that never says sorry
sorry but I wanna be that bitch

Toned body!!

I found this really interesting calorie calculator online I would like to share. This is based on my current weight, my goal weight, age and height. Just calculated my required amount of calories per day.

These results will help you determine the calorie count you need to maintain your current weight (55kg) or to achieve your goal weight (52kg) in a healthy and steady manner.

You need 1839.4 calories per day to maintain your current weight without exercise.
You need 1813.8 calories per day to reach your goal weight slowly and maintain that weight without exercise.
If you reduce your current caloric intake to 1339.4 calories per day you will lose one pound per week without exercise.
If you increase your current caloric intake to 2339.4 calories per day, you will gain one pound per week.

Exercise and Calorie Needs
If you exercise for 30 minutes each day, you may increase your caloric intake to 2038.3 calories per day and still maintain your current weight.
If you exercise for 60 minutes each day, you may increase your caloric intake to 2287 calories per day to maintain your current weight.
(If you wanna eat more, please exercise more!!)

Macronutrients
The United States Department of Agriculture suggests that approximately 50 percent of your calories come from carbohydrates, about 30 percent from fats, and approximately 20 percent from protein sources. One gram of protein has about four calories, one gram of fat has about nine calories, and one gram of carbohydrate has about four calories.

You need 229.9 grams of carbohydrates, 60.7 grams of fat, and 92 grams of protein per day for 1839.4 calories to maintain your weight of 121 pounds.

Please remember that these calorie counts are based on the average of the population, you may need to adjust your calorie needs up or down slightly to get the results you want.Oh, and please, please do not go under than 1200 calorie per day. And if you are from Malaysia and would like to know the calorie for Malaysian local food, do check this blog here.

Updates!!

I know I have abandoned my blog for quite sometime; just look at the cobwebs!! *swipe2* A few things have changed since i last updated my blog. For one, I was really busy with real life in general!! I have to admit that the real reason why I started blogging was because I wanted to connect. I wanted to connect to someone, somewhere in the virtual world. I was pretty lonely, maybe because I had lots of idle time and no one to spend with. Not that I am alone, but people are not always around right? I might be away from blogging but I was so busy with work and having fun and dancing.

I'm also glad to say that I have achieved 3 goals for 2012 so far:

1) I want to learn how to swim. And I did!! I can swim now. I just did my first lap last 2 weeks. I'm so happy!! I do need more practice still though because I am still afraid of the deep water at the other end of the pool. I hope to conquer it with more practice!

2) I want to pole dance. And I did!! I just finished the beginner's level and will be going to intermediate next week. I love pole dancing despite the bruises I get after each session! I'm still a novice and I have a lot to improve still. Initially, I wanted to pole dance to work out, but now I need to work out to pole dance!! You'll need tremendous amount of strength to lift your body up, twirl around and be sexy. No joke!!

3) I wore a saree..ok, This I have already documented.

My next goal would be to have a healthy, toned and beautiful body.

Of sarees and laddus - Prem's wedding

My classmate, Prem, got married last 2 weeks.  It was held on an early Sunday morning. At 7.30 am to be precise. That early on a Sunday morning??? But according to my friend, the wedding would have to be held at an auspicious time because it is believed to affect the longevity and prosperity of the wedding. Let's say, if the calculated auspicious time is at 3 a.m. and so the ceremony would have to be held at that time.

The ceremony
The ceremony takes quite some time and is accompanied all the while with prayers and the traditional musical instruments.

The happy groom and bride on their throne
Of course, I would not let go the chance of wearing a saree!!

My friend was like, why wear a saree?
1. You are not even Indian.
I mean, that's all the reason why I should wear a saree! For one, I've not worn it and saree is a beautiful piece of art. The embelishments are so intricate and handmade!! Love is in the details baby!!

2. It's really troublesome to wear a saree.
The pessismist were like, 'You sure you wanna wear saree? You sure? Really hard to tie you know'
Yes, I am sure!! Give me that saree. I don't know how to tie but I will learn! I didn't find the process of wearing saree troublesome at all. In fact, I was so blessed to have friends who are willing to help me tie my saree together with me. (You really need an extra hand at it)

Okay, no pictures of me at the wedding because I was busy gobbling down on food and looking very unladylike at it!! Muahaha!

A garden wedding..

Isn't the place just lovely!

Last weekend was a wedding weekend. I attended 2 very different weddings (a garden wedding and an Indian one) but let's start with this garden wedding at Kelana Jaya Plaza. It's an outdoor wedding set beside a lake. So, it wasn't really on a garden but the fresh flowers and the white chairs (which resembles white picket fence) made it 'garden-y' enough.

Sand ceremony
I arrived kinda late and missed the whole vow exchange and lip service. By the time I arrived, the bride and groom were pouring sands into a cylindrical vessel. This is my first time seeing the ceremony done but it's no  mystery as to why it was done. After some googling, I found out I am right. hehehe. The sand ceremony is performed by the bride and groom pouring different colour of sand into a vessel. It signifies the unity of 2 lives and besides it's great as a reminder of the wedding day.

cupcakes makes great wedding cake!
I was eye-ing the cupcake all the time. They were so adorable, I want to gobble them up!! I think cupcakes are great as wedding cake. Cut's out the hassle of cutting cakes. Plus, did I mention they were adorable??

The happy newlyweds
The newlywed look so happy together. I always feel so happy looking at newlyweds. The always look so genuinely happy together And, somehow, my little heart is brought to the days of my innocence in which I still do believe in happy endings and fairy tales (and that I had weather control power? 0.o) Dear, God, please be kind to me and give me a happy marriage too. :D pretty please?

Bright pink drape dress from ChowCHow boutique
black kitten heels
vintage bag

Forgive my pictures. I had to edit them because the colours weren't so good.I just added filters to make them brighter. By the way, I recently purchased the dress for this wedding. I think bright pink makes a perfect combo with an outdoor garden party wedding.

white chairs, u look like white picket fence u know!!
The dress was kinda too short for my liking. *Note to self: please wear patterned leggings or black leggings with it next time. Ooh, n the thing that I loved most with the wedding is:

FRESH FLOWERS!! And the roses smells lovely!!

Went back with a tummy full of cupcakes and fuzzy feeling.

On my way back, I went to my bff's place at Bukit Beruntung, Rawang to get a saree for the Indian wedding the next day. We had cendol and rojak pasembor over a great catching up session. The cendol and rojak were one of the better ones that I've tried. I am salivating as I type this.. :D Nyum!!

The peanut sauce was thick and full of flavours.
It was a cold day but there's no stopping us from having our cendol!
I am hungry already.

I would still wear autumn..

Lace slip, halter top, high waisted pants and gold flats.
Even if there's no 4 season in my country. I wore this for a lunch date with friends. It's very casual and comfortable. Kinda boring..but at least I'm venturing out of my tshirt and jeans!! teeheee...

Recently, I asked my best friend to buy thai mags for me during her vacation in Bangkok. My main secret wish is to have something of my favourite thai celeb in print... *fangirl mode* She got ViVi thailand. I was like damn...No way in chance I will get my celeb pictures. But, I kept on telling myself. At least she got me stuff, I am happy for that. Imagine my surprise when I flipped through the mag and saw this.... *faints*

Oh, you handsome boy!
*doing the happy dance*

green no more..

You know love at first sight? I really don't believe in it until I saw this dress. It's always the detail in a dress that draws me in the most. And the delicate embroidery on this green moss dress took me in right away. I'm already bought the minute I saw it.

I coupled it with my favourite tan wedges and leather sling bag and belt during reunions with friends.

No, I am not over the embroidery yet. It's like wearing art. I shall go on gawking.

Retro Glam for the red carpet

Retro glam for the red carpet

I made this using polyvore. I'd like to see more old classic glam on the red carpet. I would personally love to wear this!

Game Rai Game Ruk

This is my favourite lakorn in 2011 and I would recommend everyone to watch this!! Hehehe.

Briefly
It's a 21 episode slapkiss and revenge lakorn aired in Thai Channel3 which ended on Dec 2011. The title Game Rai, Game Ruk literally means Evil Game, Love Game. There are 2 scenes; the island scenes and the city city scenes both separated by 3 years. It stars the uber popular on-screen couple Urassaya Sperbund as Fahlada/Nang Fah and Nadech Kugimiya as Saichon/Charles. They have 2 different names because they have 2 different character to play.

hello? u ok?
Synopsis
All started when the islander Saichon (played by Nadech) found a stranded unconscious lady on the beach. He nurtured her to life (possibly using Reiki powers) and some chanting. She regain consciousness only to find out that she doesn't remember anything and has a mind of a 8 year old. He named her Nang fah meaning angel. (She does look like an angel) Lots of funny sweet scenes in the island. Imagine a beautiful full grown woman who has lost all social conventions living with a man and creating havoc along the way. I think Yaya acted very well.

wtf???
Later on, she grew up and became a lady and they got married. They led a humble, very naive island life. The island is kinda backward i think, the only doctor they have is a witch and no police etc.

The realization
Up to now, it's Game Love. One day they got separated ruthlessly and Nang fah went back to her sister. She lost her memory again after an electric shock treatment. Saichon tried to look for Nang Fah in the city but to no avail.. Somehow he got a godfather and went to America.

3 years later, Saichon became CEO of godfather's airline company in 3 years time and is now known as Khun Charles. Here is where The Evil Game starts. He found his Nang Fah but she has  forgotten him. She is now Fahlada. He transformed from a humble, naive, hot-tempered islander boy to a slick, conniving, sadistic, suave, still hot-tempered city man. He tried to make her stay with him by force and by manipulating her sister but it's a lose-lose game for all of them. I'm not giving out the ending.

The main characters
Nadech and Yaya are both too hot. Their acting improved tremendously here and it was so believable. Charles was a meanie in this show but I still liked him. Have you ever been in a relationship with a very passionate man? He treats Fahlada like she's the only female on earth and would go to all means to have her with him. He is very mean when he is desperate (evil deeds includes insulting her, tying her up, kidnapping and all) but he goes all goey when she is  hurt.

The verdict: 9/10 (i love this so much!!) -1 because Fahlada is too forgiving to the point that is considered dumb.

How to Suit Up after hours!

Hanabishi blazer with deep purple lining, iolet t-shirt from FOS, ROMP skinny jeans, pumps from a bazaar, unbranded lilac vintage-like bag from Times Square
I wore this for a dinner date with my family. I got the blazer from a thrifting trip and instantly fell in love with it. A blazer that would fit my brother just nice but is a little oversized for me. Honestly, I’ve never worn a blazer out for anything other than in the office. Of course it's nothing new to bring your blazer out for a casual outing. A lot of people have been doing it but for me, it's a new leap!!

Here’s how I brought it out of the closet:

1. It could be too masculine – All you got to do is tame it. Pair a blazer with a killer pump and let your hair down!

2. It could be too formal – Couple it with casual clothings and you get smart casual!! In my case, I coupled it with my skinny jeans and plain blue tee.

3. It could be too serious – get a silly blazer then. One with coloured linings or accessorize.

Finally got to wear!

Thai movie 2010/2011

In my quest to learn the thai language, I have immersed myself in movie and dramas (lakorns) from Thailand. It turns out that there were many good movies and lakorns. I got myself hooked on a couple of lakorns and now, I have to learn Thai language to understand these lakorns. Bummer!!

By the way, I'm half siamese so please understand my obsession with learning the language. Last year, I watched 4 Thai movies. Some were turned out to be better than I expected, some so-so, the rest..meh~ I won't go in depth as they were released quite long ago and you could find the reviews so easily on the net. I do have to note that I watched them on youtube. Here's a short summary: *note: There's some spoiler ahead. Not too much but they are there*

#1 Yes or No (2010) : Me likey!!! Thai lesbian movie. I wasn't expecting much when i watched this movie. I am pretty open towards same sex relationship but not sure if I could empathize with their love. Turns out that not only was I entranced by the sweet scenes, I even cried during their conflicts. I love it when a movie which I have absolutely no expectation of comes and sweeps me off my feet! Love is universal indeed. This movie stars Tina Jitaleela as Kim and Aom as Pie. The story revolves around Pie who has negative perception towards tomboys and how one day she got a tomboy roommate (Kim). Overall, this movie is funny, thought provoking and left me with a good hopeful feeling. It is a great way to gently educate the mass public of a different kind of love. I am really happy to find out that Yes or No 2 has started filming this January 2012. Will be expecting the sequel end of this year perhaps?

#2 Suckseed (2011) - me likey very much too!! This musical teenage flick stars Jirayu La-ongmanee (Kao), Natcha Nuanjam, Pashorn Jiratiwat (Peach), Thawat Pornrattanaprasert. Generally, it's about 2 best friends starting an amateur to impress girls and everyone else. They are the underdogs that seek to be rise up the social status quo by having this band. Things gets all complicated when a long lost girl friend, Ern, gets into the equation. The show is really funny and i like that it plays homage to the Thai rock music industry. You can see that it is interspersed with popular Thai song with cameos by popular Thai rock bands e.g. Paradox (my fav song! Summer), Big Ass, Bodyslam etc. Watching this movie will give you an insight of the popular (there's no other way to describe it) songs/bands that makes up the Thai rock industry. For me, it was nostalgia. Those are the bands I used to hear (and now forgotten) on my cousin's CD. Should you watch this movie: Hell Yeah!!

#3 Crazy Little Thing Called Love (2010) - meh~ Stars Baifern as Nam and Mario Maurer as Shone. Very meh~ indeed. A lot of people loved it, I'm sure. It's a little too lengthy and draggy for me. It's has a cliche storyline no doubt, an ugly ducking turned into a swan only to find out her crush was into her all along.. (is this a spoiler?) Cliche! You would have guessed it. I'm not against cliche but the pace is too slow. This.......is boring..at least for me. Not much humor. Not much chemistry between the two couples. Although I do have to applaud Baifern's acting. Mario is an eye candy. Kinda too perfect. Can't blame him. But I do have to say there are some parts of the movie that I could relate too. Every girl who's had a crush during high school would find this movie relatable.

#4 Hello Stranger (2010) - so-so Boy meets girl in Korea. Boy not a fan of korean culture. Girl is a crazy Kdrama fangirl. They are stuck on this trip together but decides not to know each other's identity until the end. The trailer made it seem super exciting but I find the movie too lengthy too. Perhaps I am no Kpop or the korean culture fan so i don't find the movie relatable at all. Entertaining but nothing to hu-ha about.

I hope to watch more this year. But then again, I am quite selective. I watch mainly rom-com and do not intend to tread other genres. To 2012!! Cheers!!

Welcoming the dragon year.

The year is the year of the water dragon according to the chinese lunar calendar. The water dragon will bring, heck, lotsa water!! Think rain, storm...tsunami?? gulp!! Personally, I do feel we are on our way to more extreme weathers with our reckless living. Water dragon or no, there will be storm. A-ny-wayy, I digressed. This year's Chinese New Year was extra special to me because I went back to my hometown. It made me really happy to see all my relatives. It also made me think a lot too.

I got to see my grandma again. This picture will always reminds me about impermanence and how one day, I will age too. Or not. (if i die young, i get a botox, a new anti aging drug is invented, u never know). Time will pass me by. I hope if I ever reach that age, I would still be as feisty and high-spirited.. :D

The customary steamboat. Man.....I love this!! I could have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Best with lots of people. My favourite items are crab stick, quail's egg, oyster and enoki mushroom!! bliss~

Not a typical CNY feast. It's mango somtam (thai salad), grilled chicken wings and glutinous rice. It's something my relatives prepared for us during our visit. It was sooooooooooooooo deli-delicious!! Miss it!!

My CNY ensemble. I bought all this during my shopping trip in Times Square, Kuala Lumpur. This whole attire cost me a hundred ringgit. (White tee RM10/crimson shorts with belt RM30/lilac vintage-like bag RM40/tan wedges RM20). I got it all at a good bargain. And the quality is not too bad. Max love the wedges. It's the last piece, my size and so comfortable!!

Everyone, meet momo. He's staying with my grandpa and he is such a cutie!

Yoyot (my rabbit) had been living with O (my friend's one eared cat) when I was away. DO NOT leave cats and rabbits together unsupervised. This picture was taken during yoyot's exercise time and it is under supervision. Yoyot looks real relaxed. I wouldn't say the same for O though. He seems a little tensed!

That's CNY for me this year. A long holiday, but very fruitful indeed. I will remember it with good feelings. Hope all of you had a good time too!! :D

New Year + New FLoral Wreath..

I think it's not too late to say hello 2012!! I am really happy to be part of you. And even if its the end of the world on 12th of Dec (according to my mom and she said her resource was the Mayan calendar), I don't think I have any regrets. Act, I don't mind if it is end of the world or not. I think life has to go on. (or not go on) No matter much time we have on earth, we must cherish every moment of it.

I made a floral hair wreath after inspirations from stores in etsy and Yaya in Game Rai Game Ruk. I like how it turn out. I am on headband madness now!! I want to make more, more!! :DDD

Which brings me to my New Year's resolution:
1. DIY more!! 1 new DIY project per week. Actually, my real dream is to have a successful handmade business. :D Amen.

2. Cook at least once a week at home. Reason being: healthier. True underlying motive: I want to save for my travel plan.

3. Travel to 2 different countries this year. This year's must go is Bangkok!! I hope to be able to bring my mom there. I know that would make her really happy.

4. Have better skin. I think there's only so much skincare products can do. I want to nourish my skin from within. Drink more water, eat more fruits, exercise (people who exercise regularly always looks younger than their age).

5. Blog regularly. At least once a week la duh....At least can keep track of my activities.

6. Read at least one book per month. To be more specific: feel good books so I feel good every month.

7. Save more money!! This one don't need to elaborate la.

8. Be more neat.

9. Be more adventurous with fashion. If not now, when? It's going to be the end of the world soon!!

10. Work diligently and give good customer service all the time. Improve my knowledge in my field too. :D

I can only think of these. No six pack abs for me. I am happy with my little cute pouch. :D. I'm just so grateful I came this far in life. There's a long way more to go. Happy 2012 all!!

Wednesday, January 4, 2012

Hello, hello~

Very ambitious of me to get this pumps. Honestly, I am still learning to walk (and look normal) with these. But, I love how they lengthen my legs!

Yoyot seems to like my new pumps a lot. Thank god, I managed to save them from his bunny teeth!! He's turning more and more handsome each day.

Made these new headband. I really don't know how to describe it. I'm calling it bunny ear headband. :D
